AA (that is, the Academy Awards) is a Great Program
Yes, AA is a great program. TODAY I am referring to one of our family favorites: the precious, the spectacular, the truly Hollywood-based
--- Academy Awards ! ---
Get out your ballots, call your family, and debate, debate, debate ... who will win, who should win, who acts the funniest, who is the strangest, who looks the best ... who IS the best.

ReplyDeleteI liked the show, especially the musical productions! Seth was ok...but the boob song was really too much. Did people think that was funny?
ReplyDeleteHighlight for me was Daniel Day-Lewis saying (in acceptance speech) that he was originally booked to play Margaret Thatcher, while looking at Meryl Streep.
ReplyDelete> boob song
Hmm... I agree ... and with nearly a billion people watching ...
How about Ben Affleck? Won the 2004 California State Poker Championship ... now this. 3 cheers.
So who had the best gown? Amy Adams or Jennifer Lawrence or yet another?
ReplyDeleteyeah, i loved that ddl comment about streep too. Great!
ReplyDeleteBest gown....are you really asking?
Jennifer Lawrence; no contest. Walking not so easy it though. Jane Fonda of the older crowd was fabulous. I am not so sure I agree with Jennifer L. as best actress though.
I liked Salma Hyak's gown best with Naomi Watts a close second.
ReplyDeleteOf course, full disclosure, I vote for Salma in a moo-moo or anything else.
> Salma in a moo-moo or anything else,
ReplyDeleteUmmm, yes. Desperado, 1995. Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Quentin Tarantino, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi, Cheech Marin, Joaquim de Almeida, Carlos Gallardo; screenplay and direction by Robert Rodriquez. What can you say? Bookstore owner in a blue dress.
Salma Hayak. Though Naomi Watts was a close second.
